We called in here on our way through Mangawhai on a Monday evening and struck it lucky as the Ukulele Club were holding their monthly meeting. The place was packed, and due to this there was a limited kitchen menu available. We ordered the fish and chips for $28 and it did not disappoint. Delicious and generous pieces of fresh snapper, good chips and a side salad. Drinks are also reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Mangawhai!

Good quality pub food, excellent value. No service, order at the kitchen and pick up when beeped, good clean facilities. Drinks available at the bar, very reasonable prices, like the food.

Staff were rude. You have to have a member number just to have a drink. Not much help from the staff for a guy just cruising through and wanting a drink and to watch the footy. Rude and stand offish. If you’re local, that’s cool, but if not you’re not very welcome
